Islam = Stupid Loser...

This is from a friend I served with in Nam... I mean, Iraq (sorry about that, got my quagmires confused) This is great stuff!!! Read on...

Enough already!!
Isn't it time we stopped being politically correct and call B.S. on these lazy, whiny, and pathetic Islamic nations in the Middle East and elsewhere, and even just Islam in general? You're all a bunch of worthless stupid whiners crying over .... a cartoon. Boohooo ...
Today they burned a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pakistan over the Mohammad cartoons. Give me a break.

Having served in Iraq with the U.S. Army, I can only speak of my personal experience with Muslim "Arabs" and not all Islamic peoples. But there are great similarities with all Islamic countries in that general area of the Earth.

That area - and specifically Muslim Arabs - are the biggest whiners and complainers you will ever meet. If you give them a $100 they say, "Oh sir, it would have been much better if you had given me five $20 bills instead of one $100 bill." One day I was walking out of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense in the Green Zone of Baghdad having just met with the Iraqi Army's Chief of Staff (i.e., THE "head honcho") and I was just repulsed by the garbage the Iraqis would just toss on the ground and the filth right outside this very important headquarters and brain-trust area. So I mentioned this and my Iraqi translator said to me, "I know. It's terrible. Someone should tell the Americans about this."

Here's a leap from cartoons, but want to know one of the major reasons things don't get done in Iraq? Because the Arab leadership in the Green Zone typically shows up for work around 10 a.m., promptly goes on a smoke break outside the Ministry of Defense, then goes to lunch for an hour-and-a-half, then comes back to work to check their email and B.S. with their other hooked up and privileged friends (family members) and then take off for home at about 1:30 p.m. In that 3 1/2 hours of "work", maybe only a few minutes are actually devoted to anything meaningful. But one thing they always find time to do is complain or whine about the color of their new vehicle and how they would have preferred another color or how they need another cell phone for their wife, etc. So what I'm saying is, is that this was very typical of what I saw from Iraqis, Jordanians, Kuwaitis, Saudis, etc. And now Pakistanis are burning American-owned KFCs over Danish-created cartoons depicting Mohammad. Let's call it like it is: Muslims in the general Middle East area are just a bunch of whiners and we should either leave them all immediately alone to let them continue brewing chai tea with sewage water OR bomb them all into utter obliteration. One or the other.

We don't have to put up with the continued desecration of Colonel Sanders's honey-glazed barbecue wings over a stupid cartoon, especially when all these people are doing is doing what they do best: blaming first-world nations for their third-world laziness. They're all pissed because they're too tired from praying to Allah ten times a day to pick themselves up off their fat butts for two seconds to filter their own poop out of their tea and they know Americans can get clean-brewed tea in the Starbucks drive-thru on our way to Best Buy to pick up our new Flat-Screen Plasma television sets so we can watch Aladdin fly around on a magic carpet or Sinbad the Sailor in Surround Sound.

My advice to the jerks who burned down the Pakistani restaurant: If you would have invested as much time looking for a magic-genie-lamp as you did burning down the best chicken joint in Islamabad, you might have been able to afford a one-way ticket out of that dump.

Islam = Stupid Loser. Enough already!!

In Iraq "Inshallah" was the same as saying, "I'm too fucking lazy and untrustworthy to actually tell you that I won't be showing up at the time we agreed upon." In other words, if an Arab said to me, "Yes, I will be there at 6:00 p.m. .... inshallah," - what he was really saying was, "There is no chance of this ever happening because I have a much more important mission picking lint out of my underwear at that time."

Inshallah = "it will never happen." Now take your shoes and beat your haji heads with them.

There is no doubt the author is right about the poor reasoning abilities of the protestors... But let me put this out there (and maybe I'm enabling here), maybe it is not entirely their fault. I haven't been to any muslim countries but I have been to some developing countries, I think there is a common problem: These people have the equivelent of maybe a third grade education. They take their cues not from an educated position, but from what they are told. And they are listening to some very bad rhetoric. That said, how do you educate people who cling to a culture of superstitious destruction?

The author should burn in Hell? For what? Which is the bigger problem, killing people over a cartoon or being dismisive of people who are killing people over a cartoon?

Love the comments. I have to say that, yes, the rant is a generalization about a culture, but even my Iraqi friends whom I stay in contact with in Iraq admit there is a problem.

I don't give them a pass because they may not have an education equivalent to ours... it is not about education - many of the biggest Muslim terrorists are college graduates - it is about bad philosophy. And the worst are the educated ones who use the ignorance and superstition to further their cause of destroying the West.

One of my favorite lines from Z's rant is about desecrating KFC's honey-glazed chiken... on the surface this is just plain funny, but from a philisophical angle it is quite profound. The HONEST effort, work, money and time spent to develop a product that people like and then market it, even build KFC stores in a foreign country like Pakistan takes an enourmous ammount of virtue. And I mean virtue in it's most objective sense - pride, productivity, reason, planning, determination, etc.

To have some dark-age barbarian burn down a KFC because some mullah told him that someone drew a cartoon of Mohammed is evil at the lowest level.

Thanks for all the feedback,
Joe Kane

Muslims hate to face the truth about themselves even though the simple facts about Islam appear constantly in today's papers. Their culture and religion love death and hate life. Everywhere Islam dominates (except for oil-rich countries that were developed by Americans and Europeans) you find poverty, sickness, illiteracy and the greatest opression of women anywhere in the world. You will also find a bunch of angry, pissed-off losers trying to figure out how to blow stuff up and kill people. What does this accomplish? It advertises the fact that Islam does not make the world a better place, but breeds blind fanatics who are committed to killing and tearing down the accomplishments of other people. If your're not sure if you're one of those brain washed muslim losers, you'll know because your impulse will be be tell me F___ You!, but the last thing you'll ever do is look at your idiotic culture objectively and honestly.

hello, first of all, I can not believe this, you are a fucking asshole, you seem like a spoiled white kid who only cares about himself, you are selfish as hell. you dont have your facts straight, you assume everything you think is right, and you are hella racist. even if it is true that you ran in to arabs like the ones you mention, it is not right to put that stereotype among all of them. most arabs, are muslim, that is true, but not all of them practice the religion. you will see that the ones who are truly servents of God are not how you describe. islam is a religion of peace, it forbids all acts of terrorism. a muslim cannot fight unless they are attacked first, only then can they defend themselves and fight. I suggest that you open your eyes and learn the real truth and not the fake truth that this country wants you to believe. it is a big deal to the muslims that the prophet mohammed is depicted, it is forbidden. it has never been done, ever. however, this does not give any muslims the right to go blow up stuff and kill people, islam forbids that.
christians in america are always involed in crimes and murders, this is true as well, but these christians are not very involed in the religion, they just identify themselves with it. for example gangsters. the same is for these muslims who bombed these building. they are not really muslims, because if they were, then they would know that any such actions are forbiden in the Quran.
islam is not a stupid religion. the Quran is the only book, of the three, that has not been changed by mankind. the Torah and the Bible even make connects to the quran, after all, all three of them are books of God, but only the Quran is still in its original form. it is stupid for you to say that the Quran is baddly written becuase the Bible and Torah believe in alot of the same things. if you say the quran is wrong, you are implying that the torah and bible are wrong too you see, because a lot is the same, the only difference is the parts added/changed by man in the torah and bible. most priest and preechers are seeing the the connections and it makes sence to them. they convert to islam. most americans think that they are stupid for converting, they really need to stop criticising and start learning and asking them the reason why they chose to convert. because, after all, we are all brothers and under the same test that God has given us. islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. more than one fifth of the world's population is muslim. I suggest that you go out and read some books about islam.
although the comments above me say that you will burn in hell, that is not true, God is the most merciful and most forgiving, he will forgive you if you truly realize your mistakes and ask for forgiveness from him.
you have to realize that the few "muslims" you have met does not mean that over 1.3 billion people are exactly the same as them. do you realise that it is really childish to think what you think. it is really risky for you to say that they are all the same especially because you have only met a few. there is still 1.3 billion that you havent met, you are describing people that you have not met, and some of them are getting angry at you and writting comments. do not stereotype people! every single person on this planet is different.
Im sorry for my insults at the begining of my comment, but you have to realize that other people can make the same assumptions about you that you have made for the muslims, it is not right.

inshallah means god willing, it is not right for people to use it to escape their responsibilies. however, in my home country, Turkey, insallah is properly used, it means yes (but also acknowledging the fact that god always has the power to stop you and everything is under his control). this is true for other noble muslims too.

iraqis are not the only arabs. a lot of things like mathematics originated from the arabs. meeting stupid people in iraq does not give you reason to say all arabs are stupid and uneducated. btw, how would you know if someone is stupid if they dont even speak your language? who knows, they probably think you are stupid as well since you cant speak iraqi.

if your iraqi friends admit their problems, why do you talk behind their backs? why dont you do what a real human would do and help them out? I have friends who have problems, but I help them out, I dont go behind their backs and tell everyone their problems.
I think you are just too proud of yourself for some reason, if god gives someone a good life it is up to them to help others who arent as fortunate. RACE does not matter in the eyes of god and should not matter to you or anyone else. we need to help each other, we can not criticize our own brothers and sisters.
every race is different, each one has a different culture, you cant expect people to act according to your thoughts and believes, because they have their own. one person cannot just say they are right, they have to learn the other side too, but learning the other side from the other side is the key.

this is in response to the ninth comment. indeed what you describe is horrible, BUT, it is not true. muslims do no hate life, they love everything about life, of course they want to live, it is really silly for you to say that 1.3 billion people of the world's population wants to die. you are not logical. do you really think that the US media is telling the truth, do you really think that they are not biased? of course they are! get this through your head, the media hides the truth from you, of course if you have the magic of editing these days, you can make anyone look bad or evil. a real muslim is not a terrorist. MUSLIMS are very intellectual. there are muslim countries all over the world and they are not poor. have you been to every single muslim country? I really doubt it. so you cant say that every single muslim counrty is poor. there are more that arent. there are other christian countries and countries of other religions that are poor, why arent you hating on them? being poor is no reason for you to hate them.
please do not criticize muslims or islam, because the ones you hate are not muslims. they are people. islam does not have any influence on them, because if it did, they wouldnt have done the things that they have done because islam forbids it.
muslims are not brain washed, their eyes are open to the truth, if anyone is brain washed it would most likly be you. hopefully this is an eye opener to you because like i said before, we are all brothers.

Wow! What an extremely misinformed rant. I can see that your bad experiences in Iraq have had their effect on you. Think about it this way. If the USA were invaded and our gov't was toppled and a new one were put in its place what kind of lousy American would collaborate with invaders? Even if they said they were trying to help us, all we'd want is for them to leave. Now think about the kind of lazy, spoiled, rich aristocratic little jerks that would work for the invaders and you can begin to understand why the green zone is not where the best of the bunch end up. But just like you said: the guys with the "connections" work there. Maybe if we hadn't "shocked and awed" them we'd have more friends on the ground there. After all it took Saddam a decade to kill as many civilians as have died since we showed up there.
As for your rants on Islam I don't even think you need a response for those. You just need to learn some more about it. Think of all the assholes and jerks you encounter every day in the US. Well, guess what? Most of 'em are Christians. Do they represent Christianity? No, they are just lame people, that's it.
I challenge you to read a book about Islam written by a professor of Middle Eastern Studies. You can be rest assured that no one, not a single educated person that studies Islam or the Mid East shares your views. It doesn't mean you are stupid it just means that you don't have the information to make a judgement. So Learn about it and you can come back and critisize Islam or whatever you like, except you will have valid points to make rather than rants.
Oh and one more thing, if you think Islam is the religion of Death, don't forget that it was Christians (not christianity as a religion)that brought us the slave trade, the inquisition, communism, fascism, two world wars, the atom bomb, the holocaust, the rwandan genocide, the balkan wars and untold amounts of other misery into this world including our deeply christian leaders who brought us the Iraq "quagmire" as you call it. Do we blame Jesus for this? Or do we blame those individuals who cause suffering because they have twisted a peaceful religion?
Islam is a peaceful religion, so is Christianity . . . the more you learn about either the more you can't deny this.
Peace

although I generally agree with you on the silliness that is the middle east, and how people need to wake up, I don't think you have any right to blindly judge all muslims by a few anecdotes that you have seen/heard. I see lots of horrible drivers who happen to be asian, but you do not see me making sweeping judgments of all asians.

Also, a bit of a background on the Nazi movements. The Nazis began their assault on the Jewish population by publishing cartoons demeaning the Jewish leaders, their people, their symbols etc. This is how the police could shoot a Jew in the face and not feel any regret, because of ridiculous propaganda that circulated in that region at the time. Why am I telling you this? Because it has many parallels with the cartoons published in Jyllands Postens. Yes, the reaction was ridiculous, but some basic analysis can tell you that this was not a matter of free speech. Sure, free speech tells me that I can go on ahead and publish whatever I want about whoever I want, but I will not, because I have respect for the people around me AND their beliefs. So, better yourself in the eyes of others and have some respect.

I do not know if you will let this comment go through because I can see that you must approve a comment before it is posted, but just read it for yourself and think about things on the bigger level than just what the media tells you and what anecdotal evidence seems to point to.

have a nice day!

Thanks for the post.

The problem I have with Islam is that it is at its root anti-human and anti-life. I do believe it is perfectly fine to ridicule evil and that is why I posted the “rant” although I did not write it. Yes, it does generalize about Muslims and though I don’t believe all Muslims are homicidal maniacs like the ones who are the loudest spokesmen for Islam right now, I do know that there are way too many Muslims who are willing to sit back and watch in silence while their “religion of peace” is used as an excuse to murder and destroy.

Any Muslim who truly believes Islam is a religion of peace would not allow suicide bombers to kill innocents and not say a word to denounce them. They would not allow mobs of Muslims to riot in the streets over a cartoon without pointing out how unholy their behavior is. Would not allow anyone to saw off a human being’s head on TV without marching in protest and calling these animals what they really are – murderers of the lowest kind.

Why do I say Islam is evil? Because as a religion based on faith submission it rejects the use of the one tool that makes Homo sapiens (thinking animal) unique in the entire animal kingdom – the ability to reason.

For the same reason I reject Christianity I reject Islam and any other religion. To have faith means to act against what you know is real. It means to believe even though you have no empirical evidence. It means to reject your mind as such. This is evil.

I am an Objectivist. Objectivism is the philosophy of Ayn Rand the late Russian/American novelist and philosopher who wrote Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead. If you have not read her you should give it a try. Discovering a morality based on reality instead of fantasy for the first time is an amazing experience.

First of all, I'm glad we are having this discussion.

When you say that muslims don't denounce the rioters, etc, I think you are failing to realize that people DO denounce them, VERY vocally in fact, but you do not see the media focusing on this. What makes the nightly news is action packed news, not things that are responses to ridiculous things happening around the world. Also, the general public frankly does NOT care about what people have to say after the fact, and no matter how hard you try to fix what is broken, in the end the broken image still stays in people's minds. What you are also missing is that the people doing these ridiculous things are uneducated, not because they do not want to be educated, but rather because the circumstances they live in, their country, etc. do not allow them to gain an education that you and I could get here in the US. I go to one of the top universities in the world here in the US, and I would consider myself an American. I love this country, but I still know that being patriotic does not mean blindly believing/accepting everything thrown at you. The middle east really isn't in a very nice place right now because of idiots in office who care more about how much money they can milk from their oil than how to take care of their people. Also, the imperialist attitude of our government isn't helping much either.

The ability to reason is not suppressed at all in Islam, actually. In fact, Islam is probably the most reasonable religion in the world. Modesty is what should rule your life, and how do you reach modesty? Via reason. It is reasonable for me to fast, or to pray, because it makes sense. It is not just straight up faith that makes me do these things, but I can reason that there is a God, or a higher being, I can reason why I should fast, why I should pray etc. When some worldly matter comes in front of me, I reason through it, when some religious matter comes in front of me, I reason through this as well. I do not see why I am not using my mind by doing this. Muslims, for example, reason that evolution is a perfectly acceptable concept in Islam. It's when you have people who have lost their individuality and blindly follow groups that problems arise. Ali, the fourth Caliphate of Islam, once said,

"Do not know the truth by men, but, rather, know the truth, and you will know its adherents."

I hope you will understand the message in this.

Something I would like to ask of you Joe, please do not judge Islam by Muslims, but rather judge Islam by the Qur'an and the Prophetic sayings (hadith).

I see empirical evidence in the things around me that point to God. But if you think about it Joe, if God or a higher being were to point to a very blatant and obvious reason of his/her/its existence, then there would be no need to believe in anything. We are the only beings on this earth who CAN believe. What I'm trying to say is, if there were proofs as to the existence of God, then we would no longer be believing individuals. The concept of faith would vanish into thin air, and the existence of God would therefore be negated because we no longer use our minds to reason it out on our own and we would no longer be 'thinking'. Does that make sense?

alrighty, bye!

mehmet,
I understand what you are saying but don't agree. Yes, people who are religious must have faith... but what you seem to miss is that it is FAITH itself to which I object. The act of relying on faith rather than using your mind is a betrayal of your mind and of your human identity.

I also realize that people who are religious also reason through everyday things just like anyone else, but in the one most important area of their lives (philosophy) they reject reason and instead turn to faith.

This is where they give up crucial control of things in their life like morality, ethics, epsitemology, even art.

Again, I urge you to read Ayn Rand. She presented for the first time in history an objective reality-based morality for living on earth that does not allow the initiation of force against anyone.

Very few people, including the leaders of the U.S. are fully consistant in their philosophies simply because they accept a mishmash of religious dogma and pragmatist philosophy and muddle through trying to be good little altruists while at the same time trying to live up to the great spirit of the American people who want to work hard, create, invent, prosper and raise their families.

The result is what you currently see in the White House. Not perfect, but because of our Constitution which does respect individual rights, our government is still a thousand years ahead of the current Muslim dictatorships and theocracies in the middle east.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to say. Using your mind to arrive at a conclusion that doing this and this makes sense is not rejecting it. I am not running on pure faith, but rather looking around at the world around me and deriving the opinion that there is a higher being or whatever. That is using your mind Joe, it's not as simple as you make it out to be. It's not just reject what your minds thinks and use faith, it's using your mind to arrive at whatever it is you believe. How is that rejecting your mind?

I don't think our government is going ahead to tell you the truth Joe, I think our government has become blind of its previous mistakes. We have suspended due process, we are tapping peoples phone lines, and yet we still call this a protection of our constitutional rights. I disagree, this is an infringment upon the rights that built this country. I fear that another internment may happen just because of the ridiculous amount of fear that overruns this country. I fear that the religious right will be the ones not using their minds and stuffing ideology down the throats of Americans just trying to live the American dream.

RE: faith. Faith means to believe in something even though there is no evidence for it. So, to say that you reason and arrive at faith is a contradiction mehmet.

I appreciate that you are discussing this in a rational matter. More discussion and education is the only way this clash of cultures will ever be resolved. I don't know if you have read other comments on my blog from Muslims, but virtually every one has resorted to insults rather than honest debate.

Enes,
Slow down and try not to use such big words until you complete grade school. You are not fooling anyone.

The fact is that until the Muslim culture catches up to at least the 18th century, the world will continue to suffer Muslim atrocities. The Muslim people lag behind the rest of the world because of the current fundamentalist domination of the religion. Fundamentalism is what holds the muslim people back, not western culture.

The bad part is that the Muslim people are too ignorant to see this and do something about. Islamic Fundamentalism will never dominate the rest of the world, and as long as violence continues to come out of Islam, the Muslim people will suffer for it.

An atheist believes in truth and knowledge and debate. You can't debate someone who hides behind "because god or the book says so". The koran was produced by men just like all of the other books. It doesn't have any more claim to 'truth' than the others!

It is science. My blind faith in whatever the Qur'an says is based on a lot of undeniable evidence that it was impossible for a man to write this book.
Basically, this is my logic: The scientific evidence in the Qur'an could not have been written by man in the 600's. Therefore an all-knowing entity must have written it: God. If God wrote it, everything in it must be true and must have logic behind it.

Doesn't matter really who wrote the Koran, it is filled - like the Bible is - with anti-life ideas that always end up in the creation of blood-worshiping fanatics who want to destroy anyone who does not agree with them.

I also wonder why muslims don't quote Jesus more often. They do consider him a prophet, but I've never heard a muslim preach turning the other cheek. Not that I agree with Christianity any more than I do Islam, but just wondering why madmen choose their particular kind of madness over others.

Cheers,
Joe

The world is sick & tired of B.S. that happens in Islamic nations. We want them to be productive. Can't you Arabs export something other than rugs & terrorism? I mean, your dependency on raw materials like oil & gas won't last that long. I just hope they understand.
Islam...What a silly idea...

You are correct, "Voice"! I wonder if all these modern day pyramids they are building (in the form of oil-funded skyscrapers) will end up abandoned in the sand once the oil runs out?

Interesting thought.

wow. this post was so freaking interesting. not to mention the many hate comments you received from some crazy fanatics. i just wonder why they get so violent trying to defend their religion. i.e. "fuck you fuck you fuck you burn in hell blablabla". kind of supports your notion that they are pretty crazy people. people would DEFINITELY want to convert to islam now. *cough*

To "someone stuck in malaysia"

Yeah, don't ya want to convert like right away???? There are a lot of crazies getting pissed off at this post. But none seem to be able to debate without getting really angry and resorting to threats.

Almost makes arguing pointless since they win the argument for me every time with their irrational ravings.

Cheers,
JK

Hi Abdul,
Thank you for your comment. First of all, I did not write the piece... a friend of mine did. But I understand what he means.

Mostly it is about the frustration that non-muslims feel with the fact that so-called moderate muslims don't seem to be all that upset with the militant islamic terrorists that are plaguing the world right now.

I served in Iraq with many very good men who also happened to be muslims. They too were frustrated with those that use violence and justify it with religion. I hope you will read more of my blog and see that the ideas I support prohibit the initiation of force between men.

No one would benefit more than muslims from more of you speaking out about the evil of the terrorists and the totalitarianism they desire.

Thank you again, I hope to hear from you more.

Cheers,
JK

listen to Muhammad Xhemali, Joe. I too will pray for you be guided to the straight path...and for you to realize that you are gaining nothing by making these pointless and obviously incorrect and arrogant blogs. Use your time more wisely.

Hmmm, this is to the last anonymous comment: It will be a waste of your time to pray for me. Not only that, but if you don't agree with me and you don't have anything useful to add to the debate then why read my blog???

This seems to me to be a monumental waste of YOUR time... but thanks for the advice.

Hello Joe, I’ve been following this blog for a while. I’m so glad that you’ve so articulately stated everything I’ve been thinking and more. Your ability to cut straight through the incoherent mess that these people throw at you is nothing less than astounding. Please continue the good work and try to bring your message to others

It is a religion that was made to control people for political purpose. They interpreted God is unfair to women and dogs. So women are shame creations of God and dogs are unclean creature that angel won't go inside a house that has a dog in it.
It's unbelievale they're still believing and obeying in these rules.

I hope they regret their sins for discriminating women, children and animals, for enjoying insulting the creations of God, for overating the importance of the existance of men.
There's no such creation that you can call shame and unclean.
Everything has a purpose the day God created it.
Women're also created by God. If you mistreat a woman, you mistreat God. If you look down a woman, you look down God.
If you discriminate a woman, you discriminate God. If you refuse to treat women equally in your society, you're not only a loser but all what you believe won't make you go to heaven because you treat a human being with discrimination.
