Ayn Rand in Iraq...

I got the books!

As many of my readers know the real solution to the conflict in the middle east, or anywhere for that matter, is to improve the ideas in the culture. Philosophy determines history, so the only way to get the cultural trend going in a more positive direction is to continue to expose people to better ideas. To this end it is my great pleasure to have received a box of books from the Ayn Rand Institute via Ed Thompson.

I am now in the process of putting some contact info inside each book and distributing them here in Iraq. It is my intent that these books will provide a bit of enlightenment in those fighting the war here. Of course I am also hoping to be able to talk personaly with those who read these books.

The two books are Atlas Shrugged, and The Virtue of Selfishness. The first of course is the complete philosophy of Objectivism in the form of a fantastic novel. The second contains a series of essays related to ethics and helped me to become more clear on some fo the more specific aspects af AR's ideas.
